Overview & Highlights

Nestled within the elegant Stamford Plaza Brisbane Hotel, La Boca Bar and Grill Brisbane brings the vibrant heart of Argentinian cuisine to the bustling city center. This refined Argentinian restaurant is a must-visit for food enthusiasts seeking an authentic taste of South America fused with Brisbane’s dynamic dining scene.

At La Boca, every dish is a celebration of Argentinian flavors, expertly crafted over fire pits and wood-fired grills. The menu dazzles with enticing options like the Empanada Sampler, featuring perfectly crispy pastries filled with beef and capsicum, ham and cheese, and sweetcorn — a delightful way to begin your culinary journey. For those craving a rich, indulgent starter, the Tuetano a la Parrilla (beef bone marrow with sourdough, pickled shallot, and caramelised onion) delivers a deeply satisfying, melt-in-your-mouth experience that lingers long after the first bite.

The culinary craftsmanship shines brightest in their Asador offerings — the woodfire-roasted “fire pit” platters are nothing short of spectacular. The Surf and Turf Platter, crafted to serve two, combines wagyu beef brisket, slow-roasted lamb shoulder, pork belly, alongside Queensland’s fresh barramundi, squid, and Mooloolaba king prawns, all complemented by house-made chimichurri. For solo diners or pairs, the Butcher’s Selection serves as an irresistible feast showcasing wagyu brisket, succulent pork sausages, lamb merguez, and smoky chicken thigh, showcasing the smoky depth of Argentinian asados.

Vegetarian diners are equally pampered here, with dishes like the Giant Mushroom & Eggplant Broccolini with Ancient Grains and the creamy Gnocchi with baby spinach, artichoke, and provolone cheese, illustrating the restaurant’s commitment to flavor diversity and balance.

Dining at La Boca is not just about the food — it’s an immersive experience. Customers consistently praise the warm and lively atmosphere, driven by passionate staff who bring vibrant Argentinian warmth to the table. Whether you choose to dine indoors surrounded by the gentle scent of wood smoke from the always-burning fire pit or unwind on the terrace with stunning views of the Brisbane River and Kangaroo Point Bridge, every moment feels like a festive celebration. The addition of Latin-style music heightens the sensory journey, transporting guests to the spirited streets of Buenos Aires.

Frequent diners rave about the impeccable service and generous portions, noting how beautifully presented dishes delight both the eyes and palate. The restaurant has gained a reputation for excellent value — ideal for a casual light lunch, a festive gathering with friends and family, or a romantic dinner paired with a glass of sparkling or traditional Argentine sangria.

Whether you’re a devotee of grilled meats or a fan of intricate, fresh seafood crudos, La Boca Bar and Grill offers a rich and authentic Argentinian dining experience in the heart of Brisbane — one that invites you to savor each bite, feel the energetic vibe, and return time and again to explore its inspired menu.

Menu is excellent and presentation fabulous. We selected side dishes as we wanted a light lunch the serves were good sizes to share. Delicious food. Price is really good. Great to have with a glass of sparkling. Rob and David really added to the overall great experience. Fabulous to bring friends and family.

Absolutely incredible meal at La Boca! The food was top-notch, with the empanadas being a definite must-try—perfectly crispy and flavorful. The Wagyu beef was also outstanding, cooked flawlessly and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Fantastic atmosphere and service. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing dinner at La Boca! The grilled meats were cooked perfectly, and the chimichurri sauce was full of authentic flavor. The atmosphere was vibrant with great music, and the staff were attentive and welcoming. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a lively Argentinian dining experience in Brisbane

Booked for a group of 11 Friday lunch time, the express lunch is such good value. Meat cooked perfectly and generous portions for the sides. Quick and friendly service as well, we were all served and finished eating within 1 hour of arriving.

With great Argentina grilled beef and typical Sangria,we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Seated front of the river on the terrance, the wind breezed and the light shinning from the bridge. Thanks for the atmosphere, it made me back to Latina America surrounded the Latin style music and songs

Good experience at La Boca. The entrance is via the hotel so it can be confusing if it’s the first time going there. The place has a wood smell as the fire is no stop. If you choose to sit outside you’ll have a nice view from the kangaroo bridge. The staff were okay, although we had a confusion with the table and the waitress didn’t seem to be listening. Food was good but not excellent, especially coming from an Argentinian who was a bit disappointed on the dip and some of the meats. For the starters we had empanadas, pepper dip and sausages. The sausages were nice, lamb, beef and pork. The empanadas also came as a variety. They are nice trying. For mains, we tried several pieces, our favourite and the star of the show was entraña. The brisket sliders were good too, but the ribs were disappointing and the t bone not as tasty as expected. The sides were quite good, which made the whole experience a 4 star one. This time we tried the crispy sweet potatoes and the potato edges. All plates were accompanied by chimichurri sauce and grilled veggies. If we were to come back, we’ll definitely order the entraña again.

Loved everything about this place! The food was delicious and full of flavour, and the staff were so lovely. They explained every dish with such care. We had dinner by the river, and the view made the whole experience even more magical. Definitely one of the best dinners we’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to come back

We ordered 5 course menu, Land 5. Foods are in perfect order that slowly satisfying my taste buds. Started with light beef-stuffed bread (sorry i forgot the name of the food XD) and sausage. Then the brisket burger and the grilled beef and pork belly. Right now, while i am writing the review, we just received our main course; beef, lamb, and pork with chips and water melon salad. I can't wait to have a final dessert! Staffs are super friendly and helpful to provide the best combo and sauce and asking for dietary in case. Thank you for the amazing experience and highly recommend to try out 'Land 5'. The chef will make a best meal for you! Cheers!
